the real intentions of EA are to whore some more on it's customers pockets, by making them buy more packs and using their points system for that.
The real story here, is that EA have realized that everybody now knows for a fact that buying coins is a better deal for their money than wasting it on packs/points which will only get them a ridiculous amount of gold contracts and hardly any good player.
EA realized that the coin selling community is getting too big that it's actually threatening their future profits from selling their own points for packs thing.
If EA really care about the hacking/phishing/security .. they'd clean their own official FB page from all those phishing links on their comments .. it's like a hacking festival there ..
If they want a level ground to all players, they'd remove the (buy points for packs) feature as well and not give any advantage for those with real money to spend on the game ..
but we all know that wont happen anytime soon
